Hello! My name is Mark Novara and I currently teach 5th grade math. Here is a little bit about me!!
I was born on August 10, 1974 in Iron Mountain. My parents are Charles and JoAnn Novara. I have two brothers, Paul (Kingsford) and John (Portland, Michigan). I graduated from KHS in 1993. Following graduation, I attended Lakeland College is Sheboygan WI, and graduated with a BA in Elementary Education. After completing college, I was fortunate enough to return home to a teaching position at Breitung Township Schools.
In June of 2004, I married Kristin Walhstrom (Currently a second grade teacher at Woodland). We have two children, Nicolas and Gianna. Nicolas, 11, is a 5th grade student at KMS while GIanna, 7, is attending second grade at Woodland. We have two dogs, Buck and Dexter along with two cats, Spooky and Josie.
At Kingsford, I also coach on the varsity football staff, and work for Dickinson Area Driving School as an instructor.
